Assessment & Certification Policy

Purpose

This policy establishes the framework for fair, transparent, and consistent assessment and certification processes. It ensures that participant learning is accurately evaluated and certifications are awarded based on demonstrated competence and achievement of learning objectives.

Assessment Methodology

Formative Assessment

Ongoing assessment during training to monitor learning progress and provide feedback

Summative Assessment

End-of-course evaluation to measure overall learning achievement

Competency-Based Assessment

Practical demonstration of skills and application of knowledge

Self & Peer Assessment

Reflective evaluation to enhance learning outcomes

Assessment Criteria & Standards

All assessments are aligned with specific learning objectives and course outcomes
Clear grading rubrics are developed and shared with participants prior to assessment
Multiple assessment methods may be used to evaluate different competencies
Minimum passing criteria is clearly defined for each course or module
Assessment results are communicated within 5 working days of completion

Certification Requirements

To receive a Professional Certificate from PMS, participants must meet the following requirements:

Minimum 80% attendance throughout the training program
Successful completion of all required assessments
Achievement of minimum passing score (typically 60% or above)
Active participation in class activities and discussions
Completion of all practical exercises and assignments
Settlement of all applicable fees

Re-Assessment & Appeals Process

Re-Assessment

Participants who do not meet the passing criteria are entitled to one re-assessment opportunity within 30 days, subject to:

  • • Written request submitted within 7 days of receiving results
  • • Completion of additional preparation as recommended
  • • Payment of re-assessment fee (if applicable)

Appeals Process

Participants may appeal assessment decisions within 14 days by:

  • • Submitting a written appeal with supporting rationale
  • • Requesting review by an independent assessor
  • • Attending an appeal hearing if required

Certificate Issuance & Verification

Certificates are issued within 14 working days of successful course completion
Each certificate has a unique identification number for verification
Digital certificates are available via our online portal
Third parties may verify certificates through our online verification system
Replacement certificates can be issued upon request (fee may apply)
Certificate records are maintained for a minimum of 7 years
